Adelson Galleries will host an auction of museum quality art works in support of the Farnsworth Art Museum’s campaign for the Andrew Wyeth Memorial Endowment. The works to be sold have been generously donated by artists, collectors, and philanthropists with an interest in sustaining the mission of the Farnsworth. The auction preview, to be held in the gallery, will begin November 8th and culminate in a special evening celebrating the life and artistic legacy of Andrew Wyeth on Monday, November 29th.

Adelson Galleries is pleased to announce Alternate Universe, Andrew Stevovich’s first show at Adelson Galleries since his well-received 2008 museum exhibition, The Truth About Lola, which was organized by the Hudson River Museum and traveled to the Boca Raton Museum of Art. The Adelson Galleries show runs September 29th through October 29th, 2010, and will feature 40 recent works, including both oils and preparatory drawings. The exhibition will be accompanied by a fully-illustrated color catalogue with an introduction by Warren Adelson, and an essay by James Gardner, a New York-based art critic whose reviews are published in a variety of national publications.
